
The BCCI has been served a termination notice to new Kochi IPL franchise in an unanimous decision taken by IPL's governing council, meeting in Nagpur on Wednesday morning. But BCCI has been given a 30-day deadline to respond and explain and also to resolve their issues.
Shashank Manohar, the BCCI president, said,
"The governing council received replies from two parties, the Rendezvous group and the other co-owners, and they both felt that the dispute still exists. If they don't remedy these disputes in the 30 days, the franchise would stand cancelled on the 31st day."
The IPL already terminated Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab and if Kochi also not fullfilled the requirements, the IPL4 will reduce to 7 teams. IPL 4 auction wil also be get delayed, scheduled to be held sometime in November.
